Become a Honnold Foundation Corporate Partner
Honnold Foundation (HF) Corporate Partners are values-aligned, mission-driven organizations who share our deep commitment to people and the planet.
Like us, our Corporate Partners know that solar energy can catalyze communities’ self-determination, capacity to weather climate change, and, ultimately, scalable, sustainable innovation. Together, we pool resources and empower Grantee Partners’ visions to create a brighter, more equitable world.
Our Corporate and Foundation Partnerships are based in an inital financial commitment to support the Honnold Foundation’s Grantee Partnerships. From there, the scale and level of collaboration in our corporate partnerships vary based on the depth of support. Whether it’s working together to share co-branded stories with the growing Honnold Foundation community (an audience of 2.5 million, and rapidly growing), marketing opportunities, or employee presentations, partnerships might include any of the following:
Recognition on the Honnold Foundation website and Annual Impact Report
Co-branded storytelling across HF’s social media platforms and newsletter
Custom HF staff presentation for company employees discussing the impact of your support, offered virtually or in-person depending on location
Opportunities for collaboration with HF’s Founder
Opportunities for meaningful engagement with our Grantee Partners
Carbon Offsets via HF Grantee Projects
Photo and video assets for corporate partner promotional use

Corporate Partner Highlight:
Solar Industry Jobs for Appalachia
In 2020, the Honnold Foundation, 3M, and Coalfield Development came together to bring solar energy to Huntington, West Virginia.
Together, we’ve created the largest solar installation in West Virginia, job training programs for former coal miners and their families, and, ultimately, the building blocks for a future beyond coal throughout Appalachia.
Corporate Partnership Highlight: Rivian and the Power of Second Life Batteries
Rivian’s battery system was designed to confront climate change throughout its entire life cycle. Powering a vehicle is just the beginning.
In partnership with Alex Honnold and the Honnold Foundation, Rivian leveraged the batteries from their development vehicles to support Casa Pueblo in their efforts to create a self-sustaining solar microgrid in Puerto Rico.
