The Honnold Foundation partners with marginalized communities to expand equitable solar energy access.
We provide grants, project management, and storytelling resources to partner organizations worldwide. Our partners use the Honnold Foundation’s support to increase solar energy access, provide job training, and amplify energy self-sufficiency initiatives that reduce environmental impact and improve peoples’ lives. Founded by professional rock climber Alex Honnold in 2012, the Honnold Foundation is growing rapidly, and we're building a team of curious, critical, and collaborative professionals who want to make the world a better place.
Program Manager: The Honnold Foundation is hiring a Program Manager to support our mission of expanding equitable solar access in frontline communities around the world. This role will manage a portfolio of grantee partners across the U.S. Southeast Asia, and island nations, lead full-cycle grantmaking processes, support program strategy and implementation, and build strong, trust-based relationships.
Applications (resume and cover letter) are due by 5 pm PT on March 19, 2026.
The Honnold Foundation is not accepting applications for internships at this time. If you think you’d be a great fit for an internship with our team, be sure to stay in touch and monitor this page for updates.
If you’re interested in volunteering on a solar installation, we encourage you to reach out to GRID Alternatives, a long-time Honnold Foundation partner with volunteer opportunities throughout the United States.
